You already knew Savage was hot when he appeared on Scribe's "Not Many Remix" Then he dropped "Swing!" which sat at #1 in NZ for a few weeks... Then came "Moonshine" Feat. Akon - #1 for 7 weeks, AKON's 1st #1 anywhere in the world... Then the album... Gold and platinum plaques all over Australia & NZ...
Now thanks to Universal Publishing and the hugely popular and funny film "Knocked Up" which featured "Swing" the US is starting to take note. Savage's MySpace has been viewed nearly one million times in the past few months with nearly that amount of song plays on the page too.
Last week we announced that Moonshine the album including the hits "Swing", "Moonshine feat. Akon" & "They Don't Know feat. Aaradhna" was available on iTunes in the US. The downloads have been going crazy - "Swing" is sitting at #77 on the iTunes US Top 100 Hip Hop downloads and the numbers are picking up daily. Since we announced yesterday that Savage had cracked the iTunes USA Top 100 Hip-Hop at #77 things got even crazier... The downloads have been off the books - "Swing" has jumped 60 places in one day and is now sitting at #17 on the iTunes US Top 100 Hip Hop downloads!
Savage has also been getting crazy amounts of plays & views on his MySpace page... It just ticked over one million!
Spread the word, tell everyone you know in the USA to make sure they go to iTunes and download SWING!
After the success of the film Knocked Up Savage has been building a buzz in the US...
On Tuesday we got word from NY that Swing had jumped 100 places on the iTunes hiphop chart
in one day.. the next another 60 places up to 17!
