Default Kardinal Offishall: Do the right thing mixtape

Ok ...first off let me say it's been far too long since this cat put out anything official (firestarter vol. 1)
Second i was not expecting a mixtape from canada's premier mc but a mixtape will have to do until (Not for sale) is released hopefully later this year...Akon i'm talkin to you.
So for anyone that doesn't know, kardinal is well the nicest nigga in the north and by far a better mc than most of the niggas you hear on the radio everyday but don't think he's just another mixtape rapper like New York's Papoose or another independant album artist like all of them niggas you see in the back of the source and xxl magazines...this cat is like a referee with a whistle (thanks for that one snoop) he's worked with damn near everyone in the game on thousands of remixes and even most of the top producers out have hand carved tracks for this lyrical beast ..sad thing is it just never clicked for this would be star...anyway i'm way off of my topic now, the mixtape.
Overall dope, a few misses here and there but plenty of room for growth and fine tuning.
The biggie cover of "respect" seemed unnecessary and some of the 90's classic tracks were questionable choices to throw out there to an audience of kids that don't really know or care about hip hop history but us real 80's babies will appreciate the thought and effort that went into this cd.
Selector Clinton Sparks keeps shit moving at a nice pace but the album's stellar point is the fimiliar sounding last track on the mixtape that is supposedly off the upcoming cd....i know alot of you are thinking wtf? Is he saying the mixtape is good or not???..Well it won't be for everybody but fuck it's free from HHG so download it and give it a try, hopefully you'll become a fan and buy the album when it drops.

i honestly feel kardi is one of the best out, and he has one of the illest sounds of late. i got damn near all of his material.

this doesn't disappoint one bit. every cut goes hard, and he got Total on there, Kima Pam and Kiesha ... back at it again.

i cant wait for his album.

This kid is nice. Check his MySpace page out, he's got a couple nice tracks up on there from the mixtape.

I'm lovin' that "How I could just kill a man" rendition!

He's making noise from T dot ALL the way to the bottom of the Map in Miami! This kid is definitely doing his damn thing, Nuff Respek!
