sidenote....well at least the hawks changed jerseys, home are nice...not feelin the road, maybe when they get the alternate road out i'll like itOriginally Posted by C^Mil
and i doubt we'll try to get Bibby....i think the #1 target right now is Mo Williams out of Milwaukee...we'd like him to be our point, and if we don't get him, i could see us go after Earl Boykins, a Cleveland native....we'll also take a look at a shooter like Jason Kapono since it's likely we'll trade Damon Jones
but, the 2008 Free Agent class is RIDICULOUS....so damn loaded

The following players will be available for interviews with the media on Wednesday and will be in the green room during the draft on Thursday:
· Corey Brewer (Florida)
· Michael Conley (Ohio St.)
· Kevin Durant (Texas)
· Jeff Green (Georgetown)
· Spencer Hawes (Washington)
· Al Horford (Florida)
· Yi Jianlian (China)
· Acie Law IV (Texas A&M)
· Joakim Noah (Florida)
· Greg Oden (Ohio St.)
· Rodney Stuckey (Eastern Washington)
· Al Thornton (Florida St.)
· Brandan Wright (North Carolina)
· Julian Wright (Kansas)
· Nick Young (USC)
Slight surprise to see Stuckey get invited....i thought he might go as high as 15 so we'll see
So who's everyones predictions to be sleepers and busts this year?
I think Yi Jianlin, Corey Brewer and Al Thornton will be mild sleepers, but their lottery picks so can't be that slept on....but i think guys like Morris Almond, Sean Williams and Peteri Kopponen will be sleepers
Some busts will be Jeff Green (huge bust, so he's meant to go to Milwaukee), Spencer Hawes and Joakim Noah

Nets will sign Carter, go after Blazers' Randolph
Monday, Jun 25, 2007 12:31 pm EDT
Vince Carter
Once the New Jersey Nets get Vince Carter's signature on a four-year, $60 million contract, insiders say they'll investigate making a move for the Portland Trailblazers' Zach Randolph.
Randolph's post presence would give them an attractive alternative to Carter's outside work, while his board work is something they definitely could use.
To get him, they'd have to send a big package to the Blazers, starting with Richard Jefferson, whose development is being hindered by Carter's presence.

Teams are actively trying to pry big men Nene and Marcus Camby away from the Denver Nuggets, but the team won't deal Nene. However, the Nuggets are patiently, calmly waiting for a trade partner to make an offer they cannot refuse for Camby.
The Atlanta Hawks have an eye on Camby, dangling either 6-foot-11 Zaza Pachulia or guard Marvin Williams as trade bait.

Sonics' Allen to Bulls or Cavs
Monday, Jun 25, 2007 12:25 pm EDT
Ray Allen
New Seattle SuperSonics GM Sam Presti has to figure out what to do with Ray Allen, who could be on the move if Presti decides to completely rebuild.
The Sonics turned down the Toronto Raptors' offer of the No. 1 pick last June for Allen, but the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers are just two of the teams expected to try to get Allen if he's put on the block.

Ainge, O'Neal feud could hold up four-team deal
Tuesday, Jun 26, 2007 1:47 pm EDT
Jermaine O'Neal
There are ongoing discussions concerning a four-team trade that could send Indiana Pacers forward/center Jermaine O'Neal to the Boston Celtics, according to league sources. But those same sources said that it is extremely unlikely that O'Neal will ever play in a Boston uniform.
Celtics executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge has never been a big fan of O'Neal's, and there remains the not-so-small matter of O'Neal being able to opt out of his contract after next season.

Suns near deal to move into draft's Top 10
Tuesday, Jun 26, 2007 1:40 pm EDT
Corey Brewer
The Phoenix Suns are closing in on a trade that would put them in the top 10 of Thursday's draft, according to David Griffin, Phoenix's senior vice president of basketball operations.
The increasing chances prompted Florida's Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah and Georgetown's Jeff Green to agree to work out Tuesday in Phoenix with a fourth mystery player of top-10 caliber.
To make a deal, the Suns would likely give up some combination of their 24th and 29th picks this year and the draft pick of Atlanta's that they own for next year.

If Garnett stays, Wolves may trade for Artest
Tuesday, Jun 26, 2007 1:06 pm EDT
Ron Artest
Kevin Garnett did his best to shoot down a rumored trade that would have sent him from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Boston Celtics for Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, the No. 5 pick and filler.
Garnett reportedly prefers a trade to the Phoenix Suns. However, according to a league source, if Minnesota decides not to trade Garnett, they may try to swing a deal for Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest.

Bulls interested in Camby
Tuesday, Jun 26, 2007 1:13 pm EDT
Marcus Camby
The Chicago Bulls are said to be shopping their No. 9 pick and Denver Nuggets forward Marcus Camby is a possibility, with the Nuggets likely to cut payroll by making Camby available.
The deal would have to include Bulls forward P.J. Brown in a sign-and-trade for one guaranteed season.
