In more M-1-related comedy, they were supposed to run a show in Los Angeles on August 28th. Well, that show is now off, at least in California. They never bothered to apply for a promoter's license, and when the CSAC started asking questions while dealing with the Affliction deal the M-1 people disappeared. Finally, someone close to the organization contacted them and simply said, "Remove the date from the event schedule." M-1 apparently tried to get licensed in Nevada but it was too late to do it there as well. It's believed they are relocating the event to Kansas City, although M-1 has yet to make that official. As a result of all the hijinx, Don Frye, who was scheduled to headline the show against King Mo Lawal, announced that he was pulling out. In a related sidenote, to this day nobody from Affliction has ever contacted the CSAC about canceling the show that was supposed to take place over a week ago.
