Props to Styles P for not snitching but errors in judgement were made by both sides. I guess Styles P thought dude suffered enough from spending christmas locked up and losing his job. No need to throw salt on the wound. I wonder if he'll sue?
Rapper Styles P is recuperating from an incident during a traffic incident in upstate New York on Dec. 23 and is refusing to press charges against the driver of a truck that struck the rapper, breaking his leg.
Styles P., born David Styles, was driving his 2003 Mercedez-Benz on Saw Mill River Road in upstate New York, when he was cut off by 50-year-old John Henson, of Connecticut.
The rapper exited his vehicle and allegedly threw napkins at Henson's truck.
When Henson appeared in Town Court on Tuesdsay (Jan. 2), he explained that the entire ordeal was an accident.
"I didn't know if he had a gun or something else he was going to throw at me," Henson said, adding that he feared for his safety and was "all shook up" as he attempted to drive away.
Henson, who has five children, was charged with second-degree assault. He spent Christmas day in jail and was released when he posted $1500 bail.
He said he was suspended from his trucking job over the incident and is currently falling behind on his mortgage.
Sources stated that certain officials in the City of Greenburgh are appalled that the rapper is refusing to press charges against Henson's intentional act of violence.
Henson's next court date was slated for Jan. 26.
Styles P. was forced to cancel a series of scheduled concerts to promote his critically acclaimed album, Time Is Money, which hit stores Dec. 19.
The rapper's concert dates will be filled by fellow Lox members Sheek Louch and Jadakiss.

First thing he could get his hands on. I don't know why anybody is expecting him to be wealding weapons and hurt the old man. He learned his lesson from that already. In fact, I'd be more upset if he did hurt the old guy. That would not have helped anything. The old man would still be in trouble and lose everything he got, Styles would be thrown back in jail and taken away from his wife and kids. Like he said, I can't keep getting put in jail (that ain't the place to be), can't keep playing the court game.Originally Posted by Tarrentino
Anyway, SOME of y'all act like this doesn't happen to normal people everyday. The only reason why it's a big deal to anybody, is because a rapper happened to be involved. It's about doing the right thing. He could have said lock the old man up, he destroyed my car and injured me. But instead of taking everything the old man had (which he was already losing) he did the right thing, because he knows how that feels too.
Hope P gets better soon though. He was working on a completely new album too (to make up for TIM), aside from the promo tour.

It's called road rage (never know how anybody will react). You don't choose anything it just happens. I don't even nkow if things actually went down this way (this is just the media's account of it with a few quotes) And the man is also human, before anything else. But hey, like I said happens to regular folks all the time. Honestly, both of them were at fault and not using their best judgement. At least it didn't get worse than what it was. Good to see he did the right thing though.Originally Posted by EzMoney
