Hmm, decent battle here. Definitely better than a lot of the shit I've been reading lately. So I"'ll break it down.
Flow went to Steel Soldier. While Octane tried tons of multiples, the mismash of syllables and lack of structure made his verse a bit more tedious to read. Steel Soldier didn't really meet a beat with his flow.
Vocab definitely went to Octane. While neither one of you had incredibly startling vocab, I must admit that Octane edged Steel out slightly.
Punches. This is a vital category here. Steel Soldier had a lot of good swagger lines, and some decent concepts. His Hussien line wasn't pulled off good enough, but it was nice how he mentioned reps and length of time on the site. The rest of Steel Soldiers verse was a lot of filler.
Octane obviously did an entire crew diss in this, and I think it counts. One of his few solo Steel Soldier lines "hydroacid" has been done before, and I think it is a little played. The B.Sanders line was executed perfectly though, with nice multiples, a great set up, and nice delivery. I don't always like sports lines, but this still counts. The Dorthy and Wizard of oz line was lame, but I like the way he did diss Lyrical Assassins. So octane took this category.
Multis - Octane wins this category hands down. While I think some of his multiples were sloppy, some of them were pretty flawless in execution. Steel Soldier structured his multis a little better.
Overall - Octane takes this. This battle is a about average, even if many of the battles here have been below average. I think Steel Soldier would have taken it if he wouldn't have keystyled the whole thing.
