I dunno but this thread sure is.
Yeah
Nah
To me, it lost its original purpose but I dont know if I would say its dead. But these dudes are over reacting about that statement though. I am from the south and im glad we are getting shine here but I miss hearing different music. Alot of songs are starting to be about the same stuff and its been happening for years but its really a problem now because one area is getting the most attention. So everybody coming out now is trying to sound just like the ones that are selling the most and thats southern rappers. I would like to see people take that comment and use it as motivation. It made me want to listen to other types of music just to get ideas. But dudes like Lil Wayne and Jeezy all mad cuz Jay and Nas saying its dead but if you gettin yours then fuck it. Gillie exposed this man's personal life and he mad cuz somebody made a indirect statement. If they feel like hip hop is dead they got the right to say what they want they grown ass men. Plus they been in the game long enough to see a difference. Its making me not even wanna listen to these dudes no more. If it dont have substance I aint trynna hear it. But yall let me know what you think
I dunno but this thread sure is.
