I dont think Chelsea would be stupid enough to let Gallas go to another premiership club as hes one of the best defenders in the world. The chelsea board have openly stated that he is to see out the remainder of his contract and they dont seem too flexible on the subject.

As for cole, Mourinho isnt offering a pound extra than whats already been rejected apparantly so i dont know about that whole scenario. I would like to see cole at chelsea as right now we have a couple of weak links in defence but i havent heard anymore speculation on that recently. whats the situation with him at arsenal?

Apparently, Arsene wants Cole to stay but coles done and dusted, he wants to leave. Arsene wants him to go ASAP so he can use the money on a replacement....but Chelsea don't wanna budge.....For the best left back in the world.....25mil aint nuffin. They jus dont wanna give us the money....

I dont think we were played off the park at all but Liverpool were definately the better side yet they only won through a 2-1 scoreline with 1 goal coming from a keeper mistake and a defender of all people. Ballack wasnt fit and neither was Essien, no gallas, no cech, no cole and mourinho included alot of youngsters on the bench. Plus if you look at our games leading up to that they have all been lacklustre we drew 0-0 with celtic the game before. The simple fact is Chelsea were not match fit whereas liverpool were and had to be as they had important European fixtures before hand. If you look at Arnes goal he literally ran the whole field without being closed down, the play was no where near as sharp as it normally is.

Wasnt closed = poor match fitness simple. well be back beating the shit out of teams as usual before long. Cole was injured in our other preseason loss to the MLS allstars the injury is not so bad and theres yet to be reason to take a chance with it, hell be back in September probably.
