Let me just put this simple...
No matter what you are...be what you claim to be..
If you're Christian...do you pray like Jesus prayed? Do you attend church? Do you do good deeds?
If you're muslim...do you pray like Muhammed prayed? Do you perform your daily salah? Do you do good deeds?
If you're jewish...do you follow the Torah? Are you at the synagogue? Do you do good deeds?
No matter what you are....you must follow your faith to truly associate your words with actions. This article has alot of truth.
As for me...my faith is unwavered and nothing you guys can say to me will change my opinion. Call me foolish...it won't affect me. Call me blind...I won't hinder in your criticism.

To me...a muslim is one who submits his will to Allah to attain peace...for you...it merely means "one of peace" or one looking to arrive at peace. The connotations given to the word over time changed it's meaning, but what other ethnic or religious group use this word other than the Islamic people? That's why I consider a muslim to be a person who submits himself to allah for peace...because even if it's connotation evolved, I don't know of any other group who classify themselves as muslims.
We discussed this before...but what's its relevance to what we're talkin about here("Associating your actions with your religion")?

You'd agree with me that the relationship with God and one of his creations is a 1 to 1 relationship...meaning you'd need no intermediaries in order to communicate with the Lord. If he indeed created you He knows whats in your heart, and how you act according to what you believe in.
You're making the critical mistake here...of assuming I'm not sincere in my approach to Allah. You're making the mistake of assuming I'm contorting my religion to what I want to believe...nay, I'm merely trying to find the truth. And as I find truth...I incorporate it into my life.
Who says I'll never find favor in sight of Allah...as long as I continue to search for truth? Searching for truth is a road....a marathon...it is not a destination.
Additinoally, does that mean someone who was never exposed to the truth will never find favor in the eyes of Allah? You make harsh predictions on what you think Allah knows, and yes, that is human pride working at it's best.
You need to humble yourself, knowitall. That was a ridiculous assumption to think you'd know what Allah thinks of me.

So if someone is never exposed to the true message and true purpose of life for which Allah has perscribed...and dies in a state of unbelief...from your statements this man has done wrong, continued to do wrong, and never establish in himself the true way of life he should've lived.
So what now? He should be sent to damnation? How can you make assumptions based on the little you DO know, and the world of things you don't know about an individual?

allah never gave a religion. this right here is your mistake thinking you're on the right path but your not. that comes from a lack of understanding islam. you don't have to contort your religion, it was already done by those who came before you. all you're doing is following them and not allah.
