Default What the Bible Says About Jesus

    1. God is All Knowing... but Jesus was not.

When speaking of the Day of Judgment, Jesus clearly gave evidence of a limitation on his knowledge when he said, "but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither the son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32 and Matt 24:36)

    2. God is All-Powerful... but Jesus was not.

While Jesus performed many miracles, he himself admitted that the power he had was not his own, but derived from God. He said, "Verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do..." (John 5:19) Again he said, "I can of mine own self do nothing: As I hear I judge, and my judgment is just because I seek not mine own will but the will of the Father which has sent me." (John 5:30)

    3. God does not have a God... but Jesus did have a God.

God is the ultimate judge and refuge for all, and He does not call upon nor pray to any others. But Jesus acknowledged that there was one whom he worshipped and to whom he prayed when he said, "I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God." (John 20:17) He is also reported to have cried out while on the cross, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (Matt 27:46) If Jesus were God, then couldn't this be read "Myself, myself, why hast thou forsaken me?" Would that not be pure nonsense? When Jesus prayed the Lord's prayer (Luke 11:2-4) was he praying to himself? When in the garden of Gethsemane he prayed, "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: Nevertheless, not as I will but as thou wilt." (Matt 26:36-39) Was Jesus praying to himself? That Jesus, of his own admission, and by his own actions, acknowledged, worshipped and prayed to another being as God.

How can you not know. You got those quotes up, it would make sense that you would know that they are two seperate spirits. Thats just something that he had to go through on the Earth to carry out God's plans. That would be stupid to pray to himself. Like you said, its another spirit(being)which was God, his father.

That, my friend, was why I couldn't be a Christian no more.

In Islam, we believe that Jesus was a mighty messenger, one of the mightiest messengers of all....but he was not God. He never once even called himself "Christian"...

The Prophet Muhummad (Peace be upon him) was the last prophet sent down to the earth, with a final message...worhsip One God. Not the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

    Worship The Lord.

    1. If Jesus knew the time of judgement, he would warn everybody because he loves them so much.

    2. Jesus is saying he aswell as other can do nothing on their own. He's saying God is allowing him to do these things to fulfill the bible.

    3. Jesus and God are two different spirits. Jesus prays to God which is also our God. God is the Supreme Spirit, there is none before or after him. When Jesus was here on earth in the human form, he had to deal with everyday human traits(people talking about him, having to take a bath, etc.) But while he was here on earth, he had to do those thing to fulfill the bible. Before he was hung on the cross and prayed to let the cup pass from him, he was very afraid because he knew how painful this was going to be, it also said he was sweating blood while he was praying. Its somewhere in the bible where he says if you want to get to God you have to go through him in prayer. I know that wasn't exact, but it was along those words. Its alot of facts thats not meant for us to know as of yet, but they shall be revealed to us once we are with Jesus in Heaven.

We don't worship Jesus, or the holy Spirit. We worship God and the only way to do that is through Jesus because that How God wanted it.

You should study Islam a little more because Muhammad was not the last prophet, nor did he come with a final message.

Christians and muslims are basically the same, one is just a little closer to the truth than the other.

You can't just tell me I'm wrong without telling me why (or setting me straight).

So before Jesus nobody was able to get to god? A little over 2,000 years of people having access to god.

Read from Exodos chapter 25 - 30 and the book of Leviticus.

In there it explains how the people were forgiven of their sins before Jesus was born and the process they had to take to do it. It's alot to explain, but its there.

Yes...Jesus will come back to signify that the Day of Judgement is upon mankind.

That's not a messenger though....that's going to be Doomsday.

Its in Revelation, with all the signs and troubles that the world will be going through before his time to come back is near. He speaks on when it gets really really bad, the only people that are going to endure that is the non believers.
