I write to bring light to a world in forever night
To inspire the world filled with difference
The common pleas that bridge the gap over seas
And thru fiber optic cables to you computer screen
I write for the inner child so he can talk to older soul of the man
Or women sorry but I got luv yall

It all started with X's that poem from the first album some how did something
Sparked a fire, some how gave me power, provoked my pen
Some way it unlock the poet with in
This is not about a gift or a talent of men or women sorry did it again
Not about the books or the knowledge acquired there in

Its not about the description your placed under rapper, poet, rock, or pop, R & B, to gospel
From spoken word to written history, expression is what inspires me
From murder murder kill kill to baby I love you I want you forever near
In the mind of a confused child to intellectual that has yet found the reason to believe in God

I write with my heart taught to me by friends who honestly believe and trust I will dig deep
And family that have just recently seen the inner me, I know all these year who would believe
I write cause I can, I write to find a means to me so I guess I will be writing until the end
I write not for the pay shit I do get given or offered a thing
I don't write for the lime light, a 60 watt bulb does me just right
I write for the hell of it and the heaven in it I find
I write to come up with clever lines and truth I can put on each line
I write for that smile or raise of the eye brow
Or to spark a conversation about y I thought up those ideals and lines

I started to write late into the night whenever the demons in my head took flight.
I would'nt cry,I'd ask God why.When i didnt get a replie,I searched on the inside.
To get to the truth.To be sure i needed proof.
Whatever i did i wanted to learn,did'nt wanna get burned and be tha goof.
I was never the one to strong-arm a ho,i was the one always on the go.
I write so one day i can say to the ones who wouldnt listen,
I told u so.
My writing has progressed,now it's a quest to be the best.
I write because thats just me i guess.

I write cause it's the only thing in this material-life that I like.
Man,Fuck T-V !Everybodys happy but me,in their new S-U-V.
While I drive a beaten-down uninsured car that doesnt go far.
Raising a child from overseas is for movie stars
Who preach all day then later on, on the way to the bar.
They step over some degenerate
and another American child Starves.
So I put pressure to the line as my rhymes get carved,
life is hard, And so un-Fair.
Canada is supposidly poorer then us,
but they have free health care.

So why do I pay my loot to the state?

I write so my mind won't get constipate with thoughts and I won't be force to realese weak shit
Instead I want to silence the critics, and constantly deliver ya hits

I write so this thread could be a sticky and for half these niggas to realize they ain't got to rhyme like fifty
all they have to do is just to stay true to theyself and respect the art form and niggas attitudes towards them won't be shitty

I write for the same reasons we should vote just to show we did not lose hope and show we ova came the 80's coke rush
or maybe I spoke prematurely like a kid who talkin mad shit but cums with a touch

I write for the all reasons above and to let ya'll know its love
so take ya'll time and captalize on life opportunities and make the right moves

Don't come to the music, it comes to me,

The words form themselves, I flow, believe me,
Why force words the dictionary precedes me.

The words are there to epitomise emotions,
There to communicate pictures, notions.

Devotion to the venting of my spleen,
Figurative lyricist, even I don't know what I mean.

All I know is that as the characters form,
they take on a higher purpose,
Devise my worthless rain found in my brain,
My thoughts they storm
like the locusts of moses.

Another reason: the biro helps me focus,
yes the biro helps me focus.

Only the pen can summarise my self-loathing.

Writin is the main reason I'm writing:
The physical struggle behind the fighting.
Surrounded by dark paths, the pen's enlightening,
The same time frightening.

Can't explain the painfully simple,
I write if I have to, write cause Im meant to.
Write cause I'm mental.
Rhyming to a beat means my life's inventful.

As I'm writing the words I'm training,
Some how or way it kinda numbs the pain and,
I look back at what I've accomplished,
Not much, but I'm the duke and my pen's the dutchess.
