Only six hip-hop acts have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, N.W.A, and Tupac Shakur. Now, The Notorious B.I.G. has a chance to be the seventh.

Today, the committee released the 2020 nominees, headlined by Dave Matthews Band, Pat Benetar, Whitney Houston, and, the one and only, Biggie. Fan voting is now open, and participants are allowed to cast up to five votes; individuals can vote up through January 10th.

With such a decorated catalogue, a constant member of the “Hip-hop Mount Rushmore” conversation, and arguably one of the most influential rappers of all time, Biggie’s legacy can continue its immortalization by being inducted.
