“Back from the crack of the concrete rose grown out of New York.”

New York Hip Hop is revered for pushing the culture forward through its innovative storytellers. From greats like Biggie to new kings like A$AP Rocky, the Empire State has been one of Hip Hop’s most consistent plugs since the genesis. Helping steer this ship is the burgeoning, lyrically-minded young talent, Oswin Benjamin.

Known for his complex rhyme schemes and vivid storytelling, Benjamin has developed a cult fanbase who enjoys his ability to weave Golden Age tropes into the new Hip Hop landscape. Today, he takes that mission one-step further by releasing the fiery visual for his introspective track, the aptly-titled, “Personal” — a cut from his 2019 project, Godfrey.
