The 11-track project is largely featureless, but saves room for Royce Da 5’9″ to deliver some polished rhymes.

Apollo Brown and Joell Ortiz have been teasing their collaborative album, Mona Lisa, for a little while now. Announced in late August, the duo has released several singles promoting the LP, all of which hinge upon a nostalgic sound that flirts with a modern styling. Now, fans can enjoy the album in its entirety as Apollo and Joell delivered Mona Lisa this past Friday as expected.

Largely a featureless album, save for Royce Da 5’9” and DJ Los, Mona Lisa is a keen example of musical chemistry; it’s the kind of chemistry that is complementary without oppressing the respective parties–one that can only be honed through a meticulous work ethic.
